Puerto Terrestre Los Andes (PTLA) received an important certification this first semester January-June 2022, in recognition of its commitment as a concessionary company to the excellent use of renewable energies. In terms of sustainability, this places it at the forefront of companies in the Cointer group, and of the industry in the country.
For Ricardo Ghiorzi, general manager of PTLA, “this work is part of our hallmark: maintaining business excellence,, being careful and responsible with the environment. This certification relates to electricity consumption in Carretera Los Libertadores N°415 Sector el Sauce, Los Andes, representing 1,272 MWh of electricity generated from renewable sources by the PMGD Altos de Til Til photovoltaic power plant (Til Til, Chile)”.
It should be noted that these are not PTLA’sonly sustainable actions. Ghiorzi indicates that “this, together with other activities such as the permanent treatment of wastewater in our facilities and its reuse in the irrigation of our green areas, as well as the creation, operation and maintenance of a greenhouse for native trees and lower water consumption, means that we are making the right efforts in the contribution to the protection of the environment and our surroundings”.
